About Hines Pool & Spa

Meeting your pool & spa needs for over 30 years!

It starts in 1986...

Hines Pool & Spa began in 1986 with just one account, a single vehicle and the firm belief that focusing on customer service matters more than anything in building a successful business.

From the beginning, our team has focused on doing what is right for our customers and understands that focus is a core tenet of our company. Each and every person on our team takes pride in ensuring the work we perform is done in a professional manner.

Today, Hines Pool & Spa has over 50 employees, 30 trucks and more than 1500 residential and commercial accounts. We still believe that customer service matters more than anything. How do we ensure that customer service is a way of life and not just a slogan? Customer service begins with how each employee serves our customers. All of our pool cleaners and technicians are well trained and certified.

Our lead technicians each have over twenty years of experience. We pay competitive salaries and benefits; we have a retirement program because we want our employees to see their time at Hines as a career and not just another job. Our commitment to our employees promotes a strong commitment to our customers.

Andy Hines, Founder, and CEO

In 1986, after many years working for a small pool company in Austin, Andy was truly enjoying his work in the pool industry, so much so he decided to go out on his own and start Hines Pool & Spa. Since that time, he has become a leader in the industry not only in Austin, but in the nation and has served on many industry associations/committees. As a certified instructor for the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance CPO (Certified Pool Operator) course, he regularly holds training sessions in Austin to train the next generation of pool cleaners and technicians.

Additionally, he has served on the Board of YMCA of Austin and continues to be an avid supporter of the YMCA both personally and through Hines Pool & Spa. Andy has actively involved in St Michael’s Episcopal Church as well as other ministry programs and continues to lead Hines with his Christian principles.

Away from work he enjoys spending time with his wife and five children on the lake, snowboarding, and relaxing at home smoking barbeque!
